Raymond Gamble, St. Charles

Raymond E. Gamble, 65, of St. Charles died Dec. 21, 2005, at the Hospice Kavanagh House in West Des Moines.

Funeral and Masonic services were held Saturday, Dec. 24, at the St. Charles Parish. Burial was at St. Charles Cemetery.

Raymond Gamble was born Sept. 17, 1940 to Cleo and Gladys (Hays) Gamble of St. Charles and was a graduate of St. Charles High School. He worked for Dahl's Foods in the Des Moines area as a non-foods manager for several years. Raymond was a member of the Boulder First Church of the Nazarene of Boulder, Colo., and Model Masonic Lodge 315 in St. Charles.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John Gamble; and two sisters, Edythe Johnston and Dorothy Neal.

He is survived by four brothers, Bob Gamble of St. Charles, Wilbur Gamble of West Des Moines, Jim Gamble of Piedmont, Okla., and Don Gamble of Oklahoma City, Okla.; five sisters, Helen Howard and Delores Gamble, both of St. Charles, Marjorie Seward of Northglenn, Colo., Jeanne White of Norwalk and Pat Reeves of Lebanon, Mo.; three half brothers, Rich, Gamble, Greg Gamble and Scott Gamble; and two half sisters, Shelia Langdon and Cindy Gerst.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Charles Parish.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.
