Mrs. Etta Riley of Winterset died Thursday, July 24, 1958, at Madison county Memorial hospital here. She was 91 years of age.
Mrs. Riley was born in Madison county on April 17, 1867, and lived most of her life here. She was the former Mary Etta Ogburn, daughter of Edward and Malinda James Ogburn. Since 1916 her residence had been continuously in Madison county. She lived for many years near Patterson, but recently her home had been in Winterset.
She was a charter member of the Bevington Garden club, and was affiliated with the Woman's Relief corps at Winterset and the Patterson Methodist church.
As a young woman she was married to William Riley, who preceded her in death several years ago.
Surviving are two sons, Otto Riley of Patterson and Earl Riley of Grand Junction, Colo.; a granddaughter, Mrs. Gail Snyder of Durango, Colo.; and a great granddaughter, Joan Snyder of Durango.
Funeral services were held Sunday from the Richards Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. C. A. McMurray.
Burial was made in Montpelier cemetery.
