Winterset Madisonian - March 1967

Sylvester E. Holton, a life-long resident of Madison county, died this Wednesday, March 22, at his home in Winterset. He was 54 years of age.

Mr. Holton was born at Macksburg June 30, 1912, a son of Jesse E. and Mary Kalar Holton.

He was reared in the Pentacostal faith.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Pearl (Bobby) Holton of Winterset; and two sisters, Mrs. Merle Young of Creston and Mrs. Elmver Jenkins of Winterset.

Funeral services will be held this Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Wilson Funeral home here, in charge of the Rev. William Bowles, paster of the First Christian church. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.
