Funeral Services Held on Monday From Methodist Church Here
Mrs. Orpha Frey, a resident of Madison county most of her life, died Saturday, March 21, at her home in Winterset. She was 78 years of age, and has been an invalid the past 7 years.
Mrs. Frey was the former Mary Orpha Webster, daughter of Homer and Ruth Alexander Webster. She was born in O;Brian county Sept. 24, 1874. On July 4, 1892, she was married to Charles Frey in Monroe township of Madison county. Her husband preceded her in death. They lived in Monroe township for many years. Later she served as house mother for two years at an Eastern Star sorority in Emporia, Kan., and for 10 years at Morise hall in Emporia.
She was an active member of the Methodist church.
Mrs. Frey is survived by her daughter, Marjorie Frey of Winterset; a brother, Walter Webster of Seymour; and a sister, Jennie Smith of Lorimor.
Funeral services were held Monday from the Winterset Methodist church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Glenn Parrott. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
