Julia Hilbery, 76, died July 23rd at Madison Manor Nursing Home in Winterset.

Miss Hilbery was born October 6, 1895, in Madison County, the daughter of Henry C. and Edith Pinckney Hilbery. Her entire life was spent in Madison County, in the Macksburg area until 1956 when she moved to Winterset.

She was a member of the Methodist Church of Macksburg for many years and of the United Presbyterian Church in Winterset for the past fifteen years.

She is survived by a sister in law, Mrs. Rodney Hilbery of Pharr, Texas, a niece and nephew, Mrs. Matt Byrd of Santa Rosa, Texas, and Donald Hilbery of Mission, Texas, and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Methodist Church in Macksburg with Rev. John Fink in charge. Burial was in the Moon Cemetery.
