H. A. HEADLUND OF WINTERSET DIES

Native of Sweden Had Been Resident of County Since 1928

Herman A. Headlund of Winterset died Sunday, May 30, at a Winterset nursing home. He was 80 years of age.

Mr. Headlund was a native of Sweden, where he was born June 5, 1884. He came to Madison county from Des Moines in 1928, and had made his home here since that time. His active life was spent in farming.

He was a member of the United Presbyterian church.

Mr. Headlund was married at Boone in 1925 to Iva Oppendahl. Her death occurred in 1953.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Dawn Frazier of Winterset; a grandson, Dean Frazier; and a sister, Mrs. Walter Pharo of Oakland, Calif.

Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, in charge of the Rev. John E. Fink, pastor of the First United Presbyterian church. Burial was to be made in Hooten cemetery.
