Death Occurred Friday at Memorial Hospital at Age of 72 Years
Perry E. Cooper of Winterset, a resident of Madison county the last 26 years, died Friday, March 17 at Memorial hospital here. He was 72 years of age.
Mr. Cooper was a native of Clarke county, where he was born May 15, 1894, a son of John J. and Henretta Delong Cooper. He farmed in Clarke county until 1926, when he moved to Madison county. He continued farming until 1946, when he moved into Winterset.
He was married at Osceola to Ferne L. Dudney, who survives him.
He attended the Methodist church.
In addition to his wife, he leaves four children, Howard M. Cooper, Mrs. Tony Hendrickson and Mrs. Dean Leslie, all of Winterset, and Edward Cooper of Ankeny. He also leaves 15 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Funeral services were held Monday from the First Methodist church in Winterset, in charge of the pastor, the Rev. Everett K. Burham. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
