CALLIE FREDERICKSON OF WINTERSET DIES

Long-Time Resident Here Died Friday at 87 Years of Age

Mrs. Callie Frederickson, a well-known Winterset resident for many years, died Friday, Aug. 24 at a nursing home here. She was 87 years of age.

Mrs. Frederickson was a life-long resident of Madison county. She was the former Callie E. Macumber, daughter of Linsey and Emily Church Macumber, and was born in the Ord community July 28, 1875. She was married Dec. 12, 1896 to Oscar Frederickson. His death occurred in 1939.

She was a member of the Ord Christian Union Church.

Surviving are four children; DeVern Frederickson of Dixon, Calif., Mrs. Delores Stevens of Oklahoma City, Okla., Mrs. Lenore Ruth of Peru, and Russell Frederickson of Riverton, Wyo. One daughter, Mrs. Marie Emerson, preceded the mother in death.

She also leaves 15 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Robert Owens, pastor of the First Christian church of Winterset. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
