EVELYN WIGHT, Rock Island, Ill.

Funeral services for Evelyn (Breeding) Wight, 81, were held March 25 at Rock Island, Illinois. Mrs. Wight died March 21, 1993, at a Moline hospital.

She was born December 30, 1911, in Winterset to Charles and Albia (Cox) Breeding. She married Gayle Wight on July 16, 1933, in Wintersset. The couple would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year.

She was an elementary school teacher in Rock Island until retiring in 1974.

Preceding her in death were one brother, C. Farris Breeding, and one sister, Veva Young.

She is survived by her husband; daughters, Janet Lester, Fort Worth, Texas, and Evelyn Morrissey, Vernon, Texas; sons, Richard Wight, Palmyra, Va., and Stephen Wight, Rock Island; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Vanna Olsen, Ventura, Calif., and a brother, James Breeding, Winterset.
