1964MRS. HATTIE FOWLER DIES AT 85 YEARS
Mrs. Hattie Fowler, formerly of the Truro community, died Tuesday, March 24, in Des Moines, where she had made her home for the last 30 years.
Mrs. Fowler was the former Hattie Secrees, daughter of Robert and Sarah Garst Secrees. She was born in Clarke county on April 17, 1878, and was 85 years of age at her death.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Fowler. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Florence Grimes of Peru and Mrs. Mollie Davis of Burr Oak, Kan.; five step-children, Harry Fowler and Roy Fowler, of Des Moines, Gene Fowler of Rockwell City, Homer Fowler of Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Bessie Hollingsworth of Des Moines.
Funeral services were held Friday from the Kale Funeral home at Truro, conducted by the Rev. James Nicholson of Truro. Burial was made at the Hartman cemetery near Truro.
