MABEL COOPER Of Patterson Dies

Mrs. Mabel D. Cooper, a lifetime resident of Madison county, died Monday, Dec. 25, 1972, at her home in Patterson. She was 68 years old.

Mrs. Cooper was the former Mabel Dorothy Faux, daughter of Thomas J. and Fannie Bishop Faux. She was born in this county Dec. 15, 1904.

She was married Dec. 27, 1921, to George G. Cooper. His death occurred Sept. 19, 1972.

Mrs. Cooper was a member of the Methodist church and was active in the W.S.C.S. of that church.

She is survived by 10 children, Byron Cooper of Winterset, Mrs. Josephine Couch of Churchville, Mrs. Dorothy Hayes of Boone, Mrs. Zola Shelly of Peoria, Ill., Mrs. Pearl Cronk of Winterset, Robert Cooper of Des Moines, Mrs. Shirley Freeman of St. Charles, Mrs. Daisy Aubrey of Des Moines, Barbara Cooper of Des Moines, and Mrs. Sharon Turelsen of Chariton.

She also leaves 33 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and four brothers, Elton, Byron, Elmer and Art Faux. Two children, four brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
