Daniel "Pat" Wiedmann, 69, of Norwalk died of cancer Feb. 8, 1999, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 11, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church (Irish Settlement) of rural Cumming in Madison County. Burial was at the church cemetery.

Pat Wiedmann was born in St. Marys and had lived in Norwalk for many years. He was a farmer and owned a trencher and backhoe business. He also was employed by Bookey Pack and Firestone Tire and Rubber Company.

He is survived by his wife Betty Jo; three sons, Mike and Gary, both of Norwalk, and Bill of Jacksonville, Ill.; two daughters, Mary Joe Wiedmann of Des Moines and Jeniece Davis of Norwalk; two sisters, Margaret McLaughlin of rural Cumming and Ellen Dooley, of Martensdale; and 11 grandchildren.
