Services for Claude Franklin Fox, 67, Greenfield, who died Nov. 19, 1983, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, were held Friday, Dec. 2, at Greenfield. Burial was at Greenfield Cemetery.
Born Feb. 5, 1916 in Adair Cunty, he was the son of Franklin and Sadie Fox. He married Erma Mae Sheriff on Oct. 29, 1942. He farmed in Adair County until moving to Greenfield in 1969. He worked at the Madison County Auction and Sinner Motor Co.
Survivors include his wife Erma; son Eldon, daughter, Janice Rouse, five grandchildren, three sisters, Florence Gilbert of Greenfield, and Ruth Bruett and Vera Harper, both of Winterset, and one brother Lloyd of Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
