Mary Fosher Died Apr. 18

Mary Katheryn Fosher, a lifetime resident of Madison County, died April 18, 1973 at Madison County Memorial Hospital. She was 63 years of age.

Mrs. Fosher was born June 17, 1909 in Madison County, the daughter of Ernest W. Travis and Grace Campbell Travis. She was married to Albert R. Fosher August 26, 1931 in Grant City, Missouri. Mr. Fosher preceded her in death July 3, 1970.

A housewife at the time of her death, Mrs. Fosher owned and operated the Starlight Cafe in Winterset for 27 years.

Surviving Mrs. Fosher are two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy M. Davis and Mrs. Alberta R. Little, both of Winterset; three grandchildren, Mrs. Toni Moon of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsisn, Juanita Allen and Albert L. Little of Winterset; and three great grandchildren.

Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Henry and Mrs. Eloise Allen of Winterset; and two brothers, Glenn Travis of Neosha, Missouri and Ernie Travis of Maxwell, Iowa.

Mrs. Fosher was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Funeral services took place Saturday, April 21, 1973, at 10:00 a.m. from the Collins Funeral Home with burial in the Hooten Cemetery in Lincoln Township. Rev. Eldon E. Jandebeur of the First Christian Church of Wnterset, conducted services.
