Dorothy Forgy, Winterset

Dorothy Virginia Forgy, 77, of Winterset, died Sept. 21, 1995 at the Madison County Hospital in Winterset. Funeral services were Sept. 25 at the United Methodist Church in DeSoto. The Rev. Lester Hesseltine officiated the services and burial was at the Penn Center Cemetery in rural Earlham.

She was born in East Alton, Ill., on Feb. 1, 1918 to Homer U. and Laura M. (Larson) Ness. She married Cameron Forgy on Oct. 29, 1938. She was retired from the physical therapy department in Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. She was a member of the DeSoto Lions Club and the DeSoto United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son.

Surviving relatives include her husband; one son, Ron Forgy of Winterset; and one daughter-in-law, Linda Forgy of Ankeny.
