Ai M. Fletcher, Grants Pass, Oregon

Ai M. Fletcher, 81, of Grants Pass, Oregon, died Saturday December 6, 1997 at Three Rivers Community Hospital in Grants Pass, Oregon, from a heart attack.

Funeral services and interment of cremains are pending at Hull and Hull of Grants Pass, Oregon.

Mr. Fletcher was born May 7, 1916 in Van Meter, to W. D. and Erabel (Moland) Fletcher. He married Louise (Kaufman) Fletcher on October 26, 1948 in Fort Dodge. He graduated from Van Meter and Iowa State University. He was a member of the National Guard for four years, until 1933. He lived in Des Moines until 1962. He made a living as a car salesman and retired and moved to Grants Pass, Oregon in 1980, where he resided until his death.

He was an avid collector and loved to fish.

Survivors include his wife, Louise of Grants Pass, Oregon; three sons, Dan Fletcher of Moorhead, Minnesota, Alan Fletcher of Calespaga, Oregon and John Fletcher of Grants Pass, Oregon; three daughters, Gayla Robeson of Tucson, Arizona, Vicki Beyer of Applegate, Oregon and Yvonne Spencer of Grants Pass, Oregon; one brother, Paul Fletcher of Sioux City, Iowa; and two sisters, Gayla Mills and Ruth Gorman both of Winterset.
