Ray Ellington Mills, 82, died May 28, 2006, at St. Joseph Mercy Medical Center in Hot Springs, Ark.
No services are planned.
Ellington Mills was born Nov. 7, 1923, in Winterset to Frank Raymond “Ray” and Katherine (Ellington) Mills. In July 1945, he married Genevieve Rogers. Five children were born to this union.
Ellington is survived by his second wife, Barbara; two sons, Mark Mills of Martensdale and Paul Mills of Wichita, Kan.; three daughters, Jo Ann Damron and Jeanne Mills, both of Wichita, Kan., and Marilyn Plate of Alexandria, Va.; a brother, Frank William “Bill” Mills of Las Vegas, Nev.; and nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
