Funeral services were held last Wednesday from the Truro Christian church for Mrs. Fannie B. Fitzgerald of that community, who died Oct. 27 at a nursing home in St. Charles.
Mrs. Fitzgerald was 82 years of age, and had lived on a farm in Clarke county, near Truro for 63 years. She was a native of Shelby county, Indiana, where she was born Sept. 22, 1881.
She was married Aug. 29, 1900, to Charles Fitzgerald. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Fitzgerald is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Nora Pressly of Osceola; two sons, Elmer Fitzgerald of Des Moines and Arthur Fitzgerald of Truro; and four grandsons.
The Rev. Robert Webber of Des Moines and the Rev. James Nicholson conducted the services for Mrs. Fitzgerald Wednesday. Burial was made in the Fields cemetery in Clarke county.

Mrs. Fannie Fitzgerald, life long resident of this community died at the age of 82 Sunday at the Johnston’s Rest Home in St. Charles where she had been the past few weeks. Funeral services were held from the Congregational Christian Church Wednesday afternoon with Rev. Robert Webber of Des Moines officiating and Rev. James Nicholson assisting. Burial was in Field cemetery.

Mrs. Fannie Belle Fitzgerald, long time resident of Clarke county, died at a St. Charles nursing home Sunday, October 27. She was 82 years old.
The widow of Charles T. Fitzgerald, she had lived on the same farm in Washington township for 63 years.
Mrs. Fitzgerald was born in Shelby county, Ind., on September 22, 1881, a daughter of William and Sarah Russell Rickets. She was married to Mr. Fitzgerald in Madison County on August 29, 1900.
Four children were born to them, three of whom survive. They are: Mrs. Nora Pressly of Osceola; Elmer of Des Moines and Arthur of Truro. Other survivors include four grandchildren: Marvin Pressly of Des Moines, Larry and Richard Fitzgerald of Truro and Herbert Fitzgerald of Ft. Bliss, Tex.
Services were held under the direction of the Kale Funeral Home at the Truro Christian church, Wednesday, October 30 with Rev. Robert Webber of Des Moines and Rev. James Nicholson of Truro officiating. Burial was in Fields cemetery in Clarke county.
