IRMA FINNEY OF WINTERSET DIES

Long-Time Resident's Death Occurred Friday in Des Moines

Mrs. George Finney of Winterset, member of a well-known Madison county family, died last Friday, Nov. 19, at Riverview Manor in Des Moines. She was 74 years of age.

Mrs. Finney was a life-long resident of Madison county. She was the former Irma O. Fenimore, daughter of Willard and Iva Moore Fenimore and was born at East Peru on Sept. 30, 1891. She was married Nov. 11, 1914 at Pitzer to George H. Finney. They made their home west of Winterset for many years. Mr. Finney died in 1961.

She was a member of the West Star Methodist Church and of the Sixty-Plus club in Winterset.

Surviving are two sons, Claire D. Finney of Waterloo and G. Willard Finney of Des Moines; nine grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and a sister, Mrs. Frank Comp of Winterset.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Collins Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Milton Haedt and the Rev. E. K. Burham, pastor of the First Methodist church of Winterset. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
