G. Willard Finney, Winterset

Services for G. Willard Finney, 70, rural Winterset, who died Dec. 18 at his residence, were held Wednesday, Dec. 21, at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Clarence Lautt and the Rev. Tony Nestar of Des Moines officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born in Madison County on May 14, 1918, he was the son of George and Irma Fenimore Finney. He was a retired manufacturer's representative and was a member of the United Methodist Church and the VFW in Des Moines.

On March 26, 1940 he was married to Katheryn G. Boudewyns at Greenfield. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife of Winterset; sons, Dr. Lawrence W. of Sioux Falls, S.D., Richard of Ankeny, James of Ankeny, Thomas of San Diego, Calif., and Daniel of Winterset; a daughter, Deborah of Johnston; a brother,Claire of Waterloo; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
