MRS. SHIRLEY FERRIS DIES IN MARYLAND

Mrs. Shirley Ferris of Bel Alton, Md. died Monday morning, April 3rd of a sudden heart attack. She was 46 years of age.

She was the former Shirley Cord daughter of Walter and Bessie Davis Cord and was born in Winterset July 12, 1920. She attended the Winterset schools leaving here about 1940 for Maryland where she was later married to William J. Ferris.

She was a member of the Winterset First Christian Church.

Surviving are her husband, two sons, Larry M. and Danny at home; her mother, Mrs. Bessie Cord of Winterset and five sisters, Mrs. Helen Day, Miss Fern Cord and Mrs. Reva Murphy of Winterset, Mrs. Dorothy Dethlefs of Newport News, Virginia and Mrs. Mary Martin of Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services were held at the Arehart Funeral Home in Bel Alton last Thursday with Rev. W. C. Glaze of St. Mary's Church of Christ officiating. Burial was in Trinity Memorial Gardens.
