Ethel Feuring, Winterset

Ethel "Irene" Feuring, 72, of Winterset, died July 11, 1994 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services were today July 13, at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Don Frank officiated the ceremony with burial at the Winterset Cemetery. Rebekah services were held with Rebekah Assembly No. 360 of Winterset.

She was born March 30, 1922 in Ringgold County to Homer and Jenny Mae (Kinder) Holtzman. She married Elmer Feuring in Bethany, Mo., on March 15, 1939. She was a homemaker living in Winterset since 1976. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church; Good Neighborhood Club; Rebekah Lodge; Hospital Auxiliary and Church groups.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

Surviving relatives include her husband; two sons, Charles Frederick Feuring of Winterset and Ronald Eugene and wife Lana of Atlantic; one daughter, Marilyn Campbell and husband James of New Hampton; three brothers, Elmer Holtzman of Mt. Ayr, Dale Holtzman of Council Bluffs, and Bob Holtzman of Pennsylvania; five sisters, Helen McGauhey of Mt. Ayr, Bernice McCoy of Des Moines, Nina Powell of Mt. Ayr, Lois Johnston of Mt. Ayr and Linda Sickles of Creston; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
