Wilma Grace Moore, 85, of Geneseo, Ill., died Nov. 18, 2002, at Hammond-Henry Hospital in Geneseo.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday, Nov. 20) at the First United Methodist Church in Geneseo with the Rev. Dr. Roger and Joye Perry officiating. Additional funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at the Early Chapel Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Earlham with Pastor Les Borsay officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 - 11 a.m. at Early Chapel. There is no visitation in Geneseo. Burial will be in Penn Center Cemetery, Earlham.

Wilma Moore was born Feb. 27, 1917, to Carl and Ruby (Miller) Lorimor of Bartlett. She was a 1933 graduate of Bartlett High School and a 1938 graduate of Jennie Edmondson School of Nursing in Council Bluffs. On Dec. 28, 1940, she married Wilbur Moore. Her nursing career spanned 30 years, most of which was at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset where she was the director of nurses. Wilma was a 50-year member of Eastern Star, Chapter 294, and a lifetime member of Early Chapel Christian Church in Earlham. She also had been involved in nursing organizations in Winterset. While living in Geneseo, she was active in the First United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers and a great-grandson.

She is survived by a son, Bruce Moore (wife Betsy) of Geneseo; a daughter, Dr. Judith Moore of Matthews, N.C.; a sister, June Kern of Culbertson, Neb.; a brother, Alden Lorimor (wife Martha) of Earlham; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
