MRS. RAY BOND Died Tuesday

Mrs. Ray E. Bond of Winterset, member of a well-known family in this community, died Tuesday, May 24, 1966, at Memorial hospital here. She was 74 years of age.

Mrs. Bond was a life-time resident of Madison county. She was the former Lois Anna Nelson, daughter of Harvey and Carolyn Jackson Nelson, and was born July 3, 1891, in Jackson township. She was married to Ray E. Bond on Feb. 14, 1911, at Pitzer. They lived on a farm in Jackson township until 1943, when they moved into Winterset.

She was active in community affairs over a long period of years. She was a member of the Pitzer United Presbyterian church, in which she was active in the missionary society. She was affiliated with the Pitzer Golden Rule club, the Madison county Angus association, and the auxiliary of the Iowa Aberdeen Angus association.

Mrs. Bond is survived by a son, Lloyd R. Bond of Winterset; two grandchildren; and two brothers, Floyd Nelson of Des Moines and Earl Nelson of Winterset. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1961.

Funeral services will be held this Friday at 2:30 p.m. from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Mr. White, pastor of the Pitzer church. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.
