CHARLES E. WILLRICH, Lickenburg, Ariz.

Services for Charles E. Willrich, 90, who died Nov. 2, 1984, at Lickenburg, Ariz., were held Wednesday, Nov. 7 at the Lutheran Church in Dexter. Burial was at the Dexter Cemetery.

Mr. Willrich was born in Madison County. He was a farmer and former owner of the Dexter grain elevator. He was a World War I Navy veteran and a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Piatt of Phoenix, Ariz.; a son, Ted of Corvallis, Ore.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Charles E. Willrich was born July 2, 1894 in Madison county, Iowa to Henry and Mathilda Schumacher Willrich. He passed away November 2, 1984 at the Wickenburg Community Hospital in Wickenburg, Arizona.

He married Clara Marsh, of Dexter, on September 20, 1919 and two children were born to this union.

Charles graduated from Dexter High School in 1912 and attended Iowa State College and served in the U.S. Navy in World War I. He owned the grain elevator and was engaged in farming in the Dexter area most of his life. He spent the last three years in Arizona with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and his brother.

His survivors are his daughter, Phyllis Piatt, of Phoenix, Arizona, his son, Ted Willrich, of Corvallis, Oregon; five grandchildren and three great grandsons.

Funeral services were conducted November 7, 1984 at Dexter Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor David Rempfer and Pastor Norman M. Luecht officiating. Helen Clausen provided organ music. Pallbearers were: Rick March, Dave Marsh, Tim Marsh, Jeff Marsh, Rich McMenamin, Pat Marks, Scott Simpson, and Keith Piatt. Interment was in Dexter Cemetery, Dexter, Iowa.
