Afton Death Of Eva Faust

Eva Mae Faust, 90, daughter of Jefferson Davis and Elizabeth Clanton Peffley, died Saturday, February 5, 1977 at Afton Care Center in Afton. She was born January 4, 1887 in St. Charles.

A resident of the St. Charles community her entire life, until moving to Afton last December, Mrs. Faust was married to Arthur A. Faust on November 23, 1905, in St. Charles. He preceded her in death on March 16, 1961.

Mrs. Faust was a housewife and affiliated with the St. Charles Methodist Church.

Three sons survive Mrs. Faust. They are Fon A. Faust of Marshalltown, Dean F. Faust of Creston and Charles J. Faust of Boone.

Also surviving is a sister, Anna J. Peffley of Afton Care Center, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Mrs. Faust was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Forest Faust.

Funeral services for Eva Mae Faust were conducted Tuesday February 8, at 1:30 p.m. from Coen Funeral Home, Rev. Dale Cunningham of the Creston First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial was made at the St. Charles Cemetery.
