April 2002Robert Lafayette Morrison, 74, of Earlham died of cancer April 2, 2002, at his home.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 5, at Kuhn Funeral Home in Earlham with Pastor John Shaull officiating. Burial was at South Oak Grove Cemetery, Stuart.
Robert Morrison was born March 26, 1928, in Adair County to Lafayette Emery and Hulda Emma (Cass) Morrison. He spent his early childhood in Casey until moving with his family to Earlham in 1945. He married Shirley Reimbers on Nov. 10, 1951. Robert was employed throughout his life as a truck driver, construction worker, and, at one time, owned his own livestock trucking business. He retired in 1990. He and his wife briefly lived in Des Moines before returning to Earlham in 1993.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter and a sister.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley, of Earlham; three daughters, Roberta Stolk (husband John) of Casey and Connie Stroeber (husband Greg) and Patricia Morrison, both of Earlham; five sons, Dale Morrison of DeSoto, Richard Morrison of Parsons, Kan., Roger Morrison (wife Shawne) of Dexter and Raymond Dean Morrison (wife Cindy) and Bobby Morrison (wife Robin), both of Earlham; two sisters, JoAnn Morris and Betty Clayton (Robert's twin), both of Adel; 19 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
