EVERETT L. WILLIAMS, Des Moines

Funeral services for Everett L. Williams, 96, were held Wed., March 25 at Watts-Lindsay Funeral Home, Creston, with the Rev. Robert Crandell officiating. Mr. Williams died March 24, 1992 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines.

He was born March 11, 1896 in Union County to William Newton and Melissa Jane (Skinner) Williams and married Sylvia Hazel Barnett on February 15, 1925 in Polk County. He farmed in Madison County most of his life, retiring in 1977 and moving to Polk County. He was a member of Deer Creek Chapel, Lorimor.

He was preceded in death by six brothers.

Surviving are his wife; four daughters, Darlene Bang of Oroville, Calif., Charlotte Davis and husband, David, and Billie Jean Whitehead and husband, Ted, all of Des Moines, and Janice Wildin and husband, Jack, of Booneville; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Burial was at Lorimor Cemetery.
