1963MRS. ROY ELBEN DIES AT 38 YEARS
Mother of Three Young Sons Stricken by Fatal Illness
Mrs. Roy Elben of near Peru died Sunday, Dec. 1 in a Des Moines hospital. she was 38 years of age.
Mrs. Elben had been a resident of Madison county the last three years. she was born at Hayfield, Minn., on Oct. 14, 1925, and spent most of her life there. She was the former Mary Louisa Stippich, daughter of Hubert and Louisa Fleming Stippich.
She was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses.
Surviving are her husband; three sons, Bruce, James and Joel Elben, all at home; and three sisters, Mrs. Robert Welte of Denver, Colo., Mrs. William Karjola of Waconia, Minn., and Mrs. Dale Fenstermacher of Spring Valley, Minn.
Funeral services were held this Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the Wilson Funeral home, conducted by Charles MaCheers. Burial was made in the Peru cemetery.
