2002Gary Paul Bond, 43, of Dexter died May 6, 2002, of renal failure at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Funeral services were held Thursday, May 9, at Kuhn Funeral Home in Earlham with Ernest Baiotto officiating. Burial was at Dexter Cemetery.
Gary Bond was born April 1, 1949, to Carroll "Ole" and Virginia Bond of Dexter. He attended school at Dexfield and Earlham, graduating from Tech High School in Des Moines. Gary was retired from Bell Telephone of Des Moines. A lifelong resident of Dallas and Madison counties, he also was a ham radio operator and musician with the Horny Armadillo Band.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
He is survived by his father, Ole, of Guthrie Center; his mother and stepfather, Virginia and Marvin Morford of West Des Moines; a sister, Christine Scar (husband Dennis) of Earlham; two brothers, Patrick Bond of Florida and Mark Wells of Colorado; two nieces; two nephews; and two great-nephews.
