Services were held Saturday, Dec. 20, at 1 p.m. for Samuel O. Eyerly, 69, of Des Moines who died Thursday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center of a heart ailment. Hamilton's Funeral Home of Des Moines conducted the services and burial was at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Eyerly was a native of Winterset and was a retired mechanic for Armstrong Tire and Rubber Co. He was a member of Local 164 of the United Rubber Workers of America.

Survivors include his wife, Marcella; a son, Larry of Des Moines; two daughters, Sandra Miller of Johnston and Joan Gulling of Chattanooga, Tenn.; four brothers, Emerson of Winterset, Howard of Boulder, Colo., Hugh of Palm Desert, Calif., and Lloyd of Des Moines; two sisters, Beulah Thomas and Mabel Shoemaker, both of Winterset; and seven grandchildren.
