Ralph B. Eyerly, Macksburg

Services for Ralph B. Eyerly, 71, Macksburg, who died Friday, Nov. 19 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital were held Monday, Nov. 22 at 11 a.m. at the Macksburg United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kathy Bissen officiating. Burial was at Moon Cemetery.

Mr. Eyerly was born in Madison County Sept. 13, 1911, the son of William and Ada Speer Eyerly. He spent most of his life as a self-employed truck driver.

He married Marjorie Jean Porter July 2, 1932 at Grant City, Mo. He was a member of the Macksburg Methodist Church, the IOOF Lodge 406, Hawthorne Rebekah Lodge 350 and the Farm Bureau.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Gary, of Des Moines; daughters, Carol Shinn of Waterloo, Marjorie Ramsbottom of Spokane, Wash., and Lois Pals of Orient; a sister, Alice Lawless of Denver, Colo., 12 grandchildren and four great-granchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister.
