MORTUARY

Mrs. J. R. McKee

Mary Ellen Creger was born at Peru, Iowa, April 6, 1865 and died at her home near Indianola, Iowa, May 12, 1931, at the age of 66 years 1 month and 6 days.

She was married to J. R. McKee at Peru, Iowa, on December 8, 1887. To this union four children were born, one of whom, John Floyd, preceded her in death at the age of 14 years. She is survived by her husband and three children, Warren, Dewey and Mrs. Margaret Huglin all of Indianola. All were at her bedside when she passed away. She also leaves nine grand children, two brothers, two sisters and a host of relatives and friends.

Soon after her marriage she united with the Christian church of Peru, and was a faithful member as long as her health permitted. She had been an invalid for 14 years but was patient and uncomplaining until the end.
