Albena Donham, 81, of Winterset died of cancer Mary 5, 1999, at her residence.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 8, at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with Pastor John Shaull officiating. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.

Albena Donham was born Oct. 17, 1917, in Burleigh County, N.D. to Henry and Katharina Ochsner. She married Lyle Donham on May 11, 1937 in Cedar Falls. A resident of Winterset since 1943, she had been a culinary assistant for Alvin and Dorothy Meyer. Albena was a member of the Evangelical Church in Tuttle, N.D.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son.

She is survived by her husband; one son, Gary Lee Donham of Winterset; one daughter, Dixie Donham, also of Winterset; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
