1999Everett J. Gilman, 92, died Nov. 21, 1999, at Winterset Care Center North.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, at Kuhn Funeral Home in Earlham with the Rev. Robert Farr officiating. Burial will be at Penn Center Cemetery of rural Earlham.
Everett Gilman was born May 17, 1907, to Henry and Dora (Ketelsen) Gilman of rural Stuart in Adair County. He married Mabel Boyle on Feb. 14, 1937. A lifelong farmer, he farmed mostly near Earlham in Madison County. He also had been a gravedigger for Penn Center, Dexter and Earlham cemeteries.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother and a sister.
He is survived by two sons, Marlin Gilman of Earlham and Roger Gilman of Eau Claire, Wis.; two daughters, Patricia Greenwell of Mesa, Ariz., and Beverly Powell of Des Moines; two brothers, Roy Gilman and Carl Gilman, both of Stuart; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
