Death of Mrs. Wm. Painter

Mrs. Rebecca Painter, an old time resident of this county, died July 12th in Des Moines, after a long illness. As Rebecca Simmons, she came to this county in 1864, at the age of eight years, and settled near Peru. She was married in 1887 to W. T. Cason, who died in 1905. By this marriage she leaves three sons: Raleigh Z., Charles C., and B. Fay. In 1902, Mr. and Mrs. Cason moved to Macon county, Missouri. In 1913, Mrs. Cason married Dr. Wm. Painter of New Virginia, at which place she made her home until her death. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. S. E. Shafo, pastor of the Westbor, Mo., church and burial was made in the Mt. Zion cemetery.
