Marshall R. Winebrenner, 90, died of respiratory failure Oct. 20, 1998, at Winterset Care Center South.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23, at Beidelman Funeral Home in Guthrie Center. Visitation will be held from 4 - 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at Ochiltree Funeral Service in Winterset, where the family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in Guthrie Center.
Marshall Winebrenner was born May 27, 1908, in Guthrie County to Robert and Minnie (Cooper) Winebrenner. He married Eunice K. Moore on Oct. 4, 1932, in Guthrie Center. He lived in Guthrie County until moving to Winterset in 1953. Marshall was a farmer all of his life. He was a longtime member of the National Farmers Organization and a member of the St. Charles Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by one son, four sisters and three brothers.
He is survived by his wife of Winterset, two sons, Kenneth (wife Fay) of Des Moines and Richard (wife Jean) of Peru; one sister, Lela Koechner of Tipton, Mo.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
