Funeral services for Dorothy Beatrice Dethlefs, 83, were held Fri., May 8 in Williamsburg, Va. She died May 6 at Riverside Hospital in Newport News, Va.
She was born in Winterset on February 19, 1909 to Walter A. and Bessie (Davis) Cord and graduated from Winterset High School. She married Herbert C. Dethlefs of Hampton, Va. on December 31, 1929. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Winterset.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two sisters.
Surviving are a son, Charles Wayne of Machias, N.Y.; three sister, Helen Day, Fern Cord and Reva Murphy and husband, Fred, all of Winterset.
Burial was at Williamsburg, Va.
