Gertrude Denton Died Saturday

Gertrude Elizabeth Denton, a former school teacher and forty year resident of Madison County, died Saturday, July 14, 1973 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital. She was 68 years of age.

Mrs. Denton wa born May 30, 1905 in Greenfield, the daughter of John and Mabel Rivenberg Molln. She was married to Harlan G. Denton August 14, 1930 in Shenandoah, Iowa.

Mrs. Denton was affiliated with the Grace Baptist Church in Winterset and an active participant in the Earlham Care Center.

Surviving Mrs. Denton are her husband, Harlan G. Denton of Winterset; a daughter, Kay Harder of Emporia, Kansas; her mother, Mabel Molln, aged 92, of Greenfield; and two grandchiildren.

Also surviving are two brothers, Arthur Molln of Ames and Edward Molln of Santa Rosa, California; and two sisters, Mable Milius of Pendelton, Oregon and Carol Molln of Webster City.

Mrs. Denton was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, July 16 at 2 p.m. from the Grace Baptist Church in Winterset. The Rev. Lon Reising officiated. Burial was made in the Winterset Cemetery.
