Amy Denly Died Sunday

Amy Matilda Denly of Truro, died Sunday, Dec. 12, at the West View Care Center in Indianola. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 14 from the Kale Funeral Home in Truro. Rev. David Wagner of Truro conducted the 1:30 service.

Amy Matilda Denly, age 88, was born November 24, 1888, in Ohio Township, the daughter of George and Francis Hamilton Patterson. She received her education in the Madison County schools and on October ll, 1906 she was united in marriage to Dave Denly and they were the parents of four children.

Mrs. Denly was a 50 year member of the O.E.S., Ivy Chapter; Truro Garden Club; Philathean Class and was affiliated with the Methodist Church.

Surviving relatives include her husband, Dave of Truro; daughters; Mrs. Alice Bishop of Indianola, Mrs. Geraldine Middleswart of Indianola; son, George of San Diego, California; nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Ben, two sisters, Kathryn and Bessie and four brothers, Ruby, John, James and Charles and two grandsons.

Interment was in the Hartman Cemetery, Truro, Iowa.
