Funeral Held For Bessie Cunningham

Bessie P. Cunningham, a long-time resident of this community, died Feb. 5, at Madison County Memorial Hospital at the age of 86.

A daughter of Jeremiah and Maggie Thomas Blair, she was born in Adair county on April 28, 1894.

She was married to Clint Cunningham, who preceded her in death in 1944.

Mrs. Cunningham was a housewife and housekeeper for the elderly. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Winterset.

Surviving are a son, Lesly Cunningham of Joshua Tree, Calif., and a daughter, Mrs. Alice Gregg of Washington, Iowa.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son, a son Ray, one brother, and one sister.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 10 from Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, with Rev. Phil Hall officiating. Burial was made in the Winterset Cemetery.
