Naomi B. Delmege, 90 of Winterset died of a respitarory ailment Feb. 8, 2000 at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 12, at the Lorimor United Methodist Church with the Revs. Richard Lamborn and Neil Platon officiating. Burial was at Lorimor Cemetery.
Naomi Delmege was born Sept. 11, 1909 to John and Mary Elizabeth (Hamblin) Burgan of Barney. She was a 1930 graduate of Winterset High School. For several years during the 1930s, she taught rural school in Madison County. She married Wayne W. Delmege on April 17, 1937, in Plattsburg, Mo. A homemaker and retired teacher, Naomi lived the last 14 years in Winterset. She resided on her family farm near Lorimor before moving to Winterset.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by her husband; a son, Raymond W. Delmege (wife Jacqueline) of Johnston; two daughters, Judith Dowler (husband Ken Huehn) of Ankeny and Cheryl Marckmann (husband Robert L.) of West Des Moines; two brothers, Ralph Burgan of Winterset and John Burgan of Rialto, Calif.; two sisters, Kate Baker of Mineral Wells, Texas, and Rachael Byrum of Anderson, Ind.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the Lorimor United Methodist Church.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Collins Funeral Home in Winterset.
