Services for Mrs. Golda Soderberg, 72, of Earlham, Iowa and Harlingen, Texas were held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 17, 1974 at Earlham Methodist Church. Burial was at Dalmanutha Cemetery, Casey, Iowa.

Mrs. Soderberg died at 6:05 p.m. Saturday, December 14, at Villa West, Winterset, Iowa.

The daughter of John and Josie Floyd, Golda Marie Floyd was born at Casey, Iowa, March 27, 1902. She attended the local community schools and then received her teacher's training at Cedar Falls, Iowa. She then taught country school.

She married Charles Soderberg May 16, 1923 and they farmed near Canby.

She moved to Earlham in 1927 and worked with her husband operating the Earlham Mill until they retired in 1958.

Mrs. Soderberg was past worthy matron of Order of Eastern Star, Earlham Chapter and member of Za Ga Zig Shrine Auxiliary, Des Moines. She was a member of Earlham Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Charles; daughters, Mrs. James (Beverly) Reinert, Earlham, and Mrs. Dale (Bonnie) McFarlin, Davenport; three grandchildren; Christine Reinert, Des Moines, Elizabeth Reinert, and David Reinert, Earlham.

She is also survived by a brother, Mr. Elmer Floyd, Hibbing, Minnesota; and sisters: Mrs. Minnie Cline and Mrs. Mayme McDowall, Casey, and Mrs. Grace Burns, Aurora, Illinois. She was preceded in death by a son Dean and sister Lula Varvel.

Pallbearers were: Keith McDowall, Max McDowall, Earl Lancaster, Victor Varvel, Willard Rhine and Amor Routh.

The Soderberg family requests memorials be made to local Cancer Society instead of floral tributes.
