Elizabeth "Betty" Day, 91, died August 31, 1993 at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. Funeral services will be Thurs. September 2, at 1 p.m. at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Leonard Leslie officiating and burial will be at Murray Cemetery in Murray. The family will receive visitors Wednesday from 6:30 to 7: 30 p.m.

Mrs. Day was born August 31, 1902 in Murray to Charles and Nettie (Vanderlinden) Haller. She was married to Forest Day. She was a retired teacher and homemaker and a member of Women's Christian Fellowship. She had lived in Winterset since 1946 and was a member of the First Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.

Surviving relatives include her husband Forest of Winterset; nephews, Marvin Morris of Des Moines; Darrell E. Morris, Sr. of Osceola; Charles Morris, Sr. of Indianola; nieces, Toni German of Des Moines, Gerry Putney of Indianola, Helen German of New London and Deloris Reasoner of Osceola.

Memorials may be directed to the First Christian Church.
