April, 1998Harold W. Hauschildt, 80, of Earlham died of a heart ailment Tuesday, April 21, 1998, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 24, at the United Methodist Church in Earlham with the Rev. Alberta Ervin officiating. Interment was at Earlham Cemetery.
Harold Hauschildt was born Nov. 6, 1917, in Danbury, Iowa, to John and Anna (Carstens) Hauschildt. He married Viola Marsh March 20, 1937, in Mapleton, Iowa. He was a farmer and later worked as a carpenter, retiring in 1979.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, three sisters and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife; five daughters, Marilyn Dollar (husband Carl) of St. Joseph, Mich., Janet Kamm (husband Donald) and Julie Coffman (husband Howard), both of Waukee, Sharon Hauschildt of Earlham and Marsha Whiteaker (husband Gary) of Van Meter; four sons, Everett (wife Kathy) and Don (wife Mary), both of Greenfield and Randy (wife Karen) and Wayne, both of Earlham; one daughter-in-law, Barbara Hauschildt of Greenfield; two sisters, Luella Norby of Sloan, Iowa, and Marie McNeil of Mapleton, Iowa; one brother, Ted of Schleswig, Iowa; 29 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.
