Isabel Davis, Des Moines

Lola Isabel Davis, 91, died of a heart ailment Sept. 6, 2002, at Valley View Village in Des Moines.

Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 9, at Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset with the Rev. Bill Branson officiating. Burial was at the Lorimor Cemetery.

Isabel Davis was born Aug. 17, 1911, in Salina Kan., to Lewis William and Stella (Jones) Terry. On April 15, 1933, she married Marion Davis in Winterset. Isabel, a retired farm wife, had been a resident of Madison County for 75 years (coming from Salina) and had resided at Valley View Village for the past two years. She was a member of the Happy Hour Club and Rebekah Lodge 360, both of Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother and two sisters (one in infancy).

She is survived by a son, Charles M. Davis (wife Cindy) of Des Moines; two daughters, Jane Walters (husband Larry) of Waterloo and Judy Brinkley (husband Jon) of Indianapolis, Ind.; a sister, Velma Wilhour of Des Moines; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
