CARRIE DATWYLER DIES AT 54 YEARS

Death Occurred Here Friday Following Brief Illness

Mrs. Carl Datwyler of Peru died Friday, July 26th at Winterset Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She was 54 years of age.

Mrs. Datwyler was born on August 24th 1908 near St. Charles in Warren County and had been a resident of Madison County since 1928. She was the former Carrie Fulton, daughter of Fred and Lizzie Fulton, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Datwyler was married to Carl Datwyler on February 4th 1928 at Newton, Iowa. She had been employed at Winterset Memorial Hospital as a licensed practical nurse for thirteen years prior to her recent illness.

Mrs. Datwyler was a member of the Christian Church of St. Charles and attended events of the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Winterset.

She is survived by her husband, Carl, and four daughters; Mrs. Maxine Miller of Denver, Colorado, Mrs. Delores Miller of Peru, Mrs. Phyllis Rickets of Truro and Mrs. Carolyn Dillinger of Winterset. She also leaves thirteen grandchildren; one brother, Boyd Fulton of Norwalk, California; and four sisters, Ruby Williams of Costa Mesa, California, Doris Hunt of Garden Grove, California, Helen Sherfy of Great Lakes, Illinois, and Hazel Janssen of Santa Ana, California. Besides her parents, two brothers, Floyd and Clive, preceded her in death. She also leaves bvehind many relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Monday from the St. Paul Lutheran church in Winterset, with the pastor, the Rev. R. L. Lehmann, in charge. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
