Homer L. Danley, Winterset

Services for Homer L. Danley, 82, Winterset, who died Sept. 13 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital were held Tuesday, Sept. 15, at the Winterset First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Shaull officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born March 19, 1905, at Huron, S.D. he was the son of Ellis and Eliza Kuhns Danley. He lived in Winterset for 25 years and farmed in the Worthington area of Madison county. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.

On July 3, 1926, he was married in Adel to Evelyn Clements. The couple was married for 62 years.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Merilyn of Winterset; a daughter, Carolyn Ham of Winterset; a sister Mabel Staver of Des Moines; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers and three sisters.
