Evelyn Danley, Winterset

Evelyn Danley, 91, of Winterset, died of a heart ailment Feb. 16, 1996 at the Winterset Care Center North. Funeral services were Feb. 20 at the First Baptist Church in Winterset. The Rev. John Shaull officiated the services and burial was at the Winterset cemetery.

She was born in Johnston on Jan. 21, 1905 to William Elis and Anna (Armbruster) Clements. She married Homer Loren Danley on July 3, 1926 in Adel. She was a homemaker and had lived in Winterset the last 33 years and in Earlham prior to that. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers; eight sisters; one son-in-law- and one granddaughter.

Surviving relatives include one son, Merilyn Danley and wife Rose Ellen of Winterset; one daughter, Carolyn Ham of Winterset; one brother, Paul Clements and wife Welcome of Johnston; one sister, Mildred Lackey of West Des Moines; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
