Lloyd Cumings, Peru

A funeral service was held this morning at the First United Methodist Church in Winterset for Lloyd Myron Cumings of Peru, who died July 17 at Madison County Memorial Hospital. He was 74 years old.

Born Jan. 13, 1908, he was the son of Fred and Jessie Ball Cumings. A farmer, he lived in the Peru area all of his life.

On Dec. 9, 1933, he married his wife, LaVere, in Des Moines. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Hazel Margaret Johnson of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Pamela Jane Rustan of Peru; two sons, Carl Nelson Cumings of Des Moines, and Rev. Robert Michael Cumings of Spencer; sister, Clara Scott of Florence, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Rev. Byron Ayers officiated at the funeral service. Burial was in the Peru Cemetery.
